Family Time

Did the family thing yesterday - as we do every Sunday. This is the first time in three weeks though - other things (Dalian in the hospital, Tian having to work, Thanksgiving) kept coming up and it just hasn't been happening. And what's a family get together without drama - right? Two things stand out - one that doesn't really involve me and one that most definitely does.

Morgan, my niece, who is just starting to show her pregnancy - thinks that Andrew - her boyfriend (who I still have to buy a gift for - I drew his name) - might be cheating on her. I don't see how... Except for work - the two are together - 24/7 and can't be apart for more than an hour without having to burn up the phone lines to check on the other one. The only time Andrew is with anyone other than Morgan is if he's with Parker, Crystal, me or some other member of the family. I think Morgan is just getting paranoid over nothing in this case - Andrew can be an idiot at times, but he's not a cheater.. and he wouldn't have time to cheat even if he wanted to..

The other, more serious incident concerns me and Parker's best friend, John. John just turned 15 and is like a mini-me version of Parker - a great kid with a outgoing personality and just a total cut-up. Me & Parker ended up rolling around on the floor wrestling yesterday - no big deal. We do that - and I usually end up getting my butt kicked. John decided to interfere and I got double-teamed for a bit - it's all good though and just playing around - and of course, Tatitia screamed at all of us and sent us outside. We go outside and someone needs to go to the store to get some stuff... I volunteer, even though I don't have a license and suprisingly, they toss me some keys. Hurry back! John volunteers himself to ride shotgun. Parker says he's staying at the house.

So me and John leave - and he's just talking away about everything - and out of the blue, asks me if I'm gay. Parker said I was. I just say "yeah!" and keep on driving. He's still talking and starts asking very explicit questions about what I do with other guys and it's getting very umcomfortable for me. I finally ask him what's up and what's the deal with all the questions. What I do is none of his business, but just why ask the questions. He's just curious he says. I don't mind answering any questions you might have and that's cool, but don't ask about my sex life. He's quiet for a bit and we get to the store and get the stuff we need. We're heading back and he starts saying that we need to pull over - he needs to pee. I tell him to hold it - we're almost back at Tatz's. He's squirming and whining and says he can't so tells me to pull over so he can pee. I say OK and he points to a little dirt side road to pull into "so the cars coming by can't see me".. Whatever. I pull in and he jumps out of the car and takes a leak. He then turned around and hollered at me - "Uncle Doug - what could you do with this?". The boy is standing there with his piece in his hand, waving it at me. I just shook my head and said "about five to seven years in jail" and he laughed, putting his stuff away before climbing back in the car. I was pissed and he's still talking, with all the "I was just playing" excuses. I told him that it was fucked up and don't ever try that shit again. He's nothing but a 15 year old kid and I don't feel like going to jail or playing with children. He kept apologizing and I finally accepted the apology - just to drop the situation. We got back and gave Tatitia her stuff and I tried to put the incident out of my mind for the rest of the day, but it was totally messed up.

I don't know exactly what's up with John - and what he was playing at. But I don't think I'm going to allow myself to be alone with him anymore... for any reason. I don't know what his deal is - was he trying to shock me, wanting to so something, or what... but it was extremely messed up. I'm currently involved (off & on) with an 19 year old - but that's legal - John is a 15 year old kid - and tha tjust ain't cutting it. It kind of makes me wonder too about what he and Parker are doing if anything. Parker is all about breasts and women - as much as any 16 year old - but if John is whipping his stuff out for me, what does he do when he stays over here with Parker or when Parker stays over there at his house? None of my business... but that kid has issues..

I think I played it off OK and hopefully, this will be the end of it. I'm open and alway available to answer questions about anything I can - but I don't like being put into compromising situations with children and even though John looks like an adult physically, a kid is all he is... and that is not good! I'm supposed to go to Wal-Mart this afternoon with Tatz & Parker - I guess I'll find out then if John mentioned anything to Parker about all this. I think I'm getting a headache. Be back later....
